Terms

Last updated 13 September 2026

These terms are between you and YOUR REGISTERED COMPANY NAME, trading as Scribbleborn. By ordering you agree to them.

What you are buying

A painted portrait derived from a drawing you upload, and depending on the tier you choose, a written story, a picture book as a digital file, a printed book, or a plush toy.

What you may do with it

The character is your child's. You own the original drawing and you may use what we make from it however you like personally: print it, frame it, put it on a birthday invitation, a t-shirt or a cake. You may not resell the artwork itself as stock art or license it to others as though it were yours to license.

We claim no ownership of your child's original drawing and we will not use your artwork in our own marketing without asking you in writing first.

What you promise us

What we promise, and what we do not

We promise to try honestly to render what your child actually drew, and to refund you if we miss. We cannot promise a particular artistic result, because taste is not a specification. If you are disappointed, that is what the refund is for.

We are a small studio. Our liability to you is limited to what you paid us. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under consumer law where you live, and where local law gives you more than this page does, local law wins.

Things we will not paint

We will decline anything that is not a child's drawing, and anything hateful, sexual, or depicting a real identifiable person in a way we are not comfortable with. If we decline, we refund you in full and explain why.

Cancelling

There is nothing to cancel. We do not run subscriptions and we do not store your card. Each order is a single payment for a single thing.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of YOUR STATE OR COUNTRY.
